I hope this article has changed the way you think about hunters.

The only thing they have in common is they eat bamboo, are endandered and live in China.

These amazing animals are very good at climbing up and around things. They also have arms that stretch out to reach bamboos long stalks.

Are you beginning to think that what you are doing for the environment is not having an impact? Well here is some proof that what you are doing helps; and some more tips for going green.

As we all know going green is more than a trend, it’s a lifestyle.

Tips. . .

<DIR>

This fall instead of a leaf blower use a rake instead.

Winter is just around the corner, don’t expect your thermostat to keep you warm in summer-wear. Instead dress for the weather; it’s just as trendy.

Choose LED (light emitting diodes) For your holiday decor they are just as good, if not better than regular lights, they stay cool and use only .04 watt That’s a .41 difference, oh and did I mention they last up to 10 times longer.

Unplug your appliances. When devices such as lamps are plugged in and not in use up to 40% electricity.
</DIR>

You can make a difference!

<DIR>

Did you know that every time you recycle a soda can it can power a TV for up to 3 hours

If you use cloth towels instead of paper towels you are playing a big part in not only reducing global warming and shrinking landfills, but you are also saving the world we all live in.

Do you use reusable bags? This also helps the world tremendously. Plastic Bags are a major contributor to landfills. Did you know that a plastic bag can be recycled? Or that a plastic bag can take 1,000’s of years to decompose. Every time you use your reusable bags you are saving us 1,000’s of years of landfills. Thank You!
</DIR>

Females, on the other hand, have thicker veins on their wings.

Monarchs are fairly petite, fragile creatures; therefore they don't have many options for protecting themselves. How do they do it you ask? Here's how: Monarch Butterflies are poisonous, or at least to other animals so if an animal eats it the animal become very sick, but does not generally die, so the next time the animal comes across a monarch it remembers those vibrant wings and stays clear.

Vocabulary:

Milkweed Butterfly - Is what the monarch is also known as, because its larvae eat the milkweed plant.

Scent Scales - Scent scales are modified wing scales on butterflies and moths that release pheromones. Only males have scent scales.

Vibrant - An ofter beautiful strong bright color.

Baby Quail cannot survive without their parents, their lives depend on it. When they're young you can't much tell their genders appart, but as they grow older the males grow a feather out of the top of their head. Which I like to refer to as "Indian Birds"! They are found in generally small ranges from about 10 to 15 acres. After they hatch, their diet is made up of mainly insects. A 3 day old chick feeds on about 2 to 3 grams throughout the entire day. By the time they're 10 days of age they may consume as much as 6 grams of insects to a day. Thanks for reading this, and a specail thanks to GAGA mama, for making this possible!

They can weigh up to 660 lbs. - talk about a big dinner!! That brings us to what they eat. they are carnivores, which means that they eat other animals. It must be good for you because tigers can live to be up to twenty years old! That's pretty good for a tiger. During their lifetime they have cubs like no other kind of tiger. Their litter size can be 2-4 per mating. For about two years they teach the babies what they need to know for their future. Then the cubs leave and do the same.

We hope you learned something new today visiting our website.

                                                    COME BACK SOON!
